Challenge
The leadership of our AWS Training and Certification organization requested a re-design of our internal Wiki or virtual home.
Solution
I led the re-design of the internal Wiki. My contributions included:
Lead a committee to discuss and define the wiki’s information structure and navigation experience.
Lead a committee to discuss and design the UI including header, footer, quick links, search, content styles and standards, and templates.
Contributed to writing a lot of the content including the Digital Training Workflow and Instructional Design sections of our wiki (25+ pages). This enables quick access to the most practical instructional design best practices, strategies, techniques, and resources.
Lead multiple informal training sessions and provided one-on-one support to individuals in creating new content using our new styles and standards.
Results
The new organization Wiki launch was a major success and helped increase the productivity and engagement among groups and teams. Traffic consisted of 200+ unique visitors per week.
